More of a note than anything else, but yesterday was kick-off day for Rugby League; Keighley were off to Whitehaven today in the Northern Rail Cup, which sounds like it's going to be colder than cold and proverbially long.
I've noticed some reasonable blogs around: Treiziste Diary, Times Online RL, TGG. Though how anyone could have come up with a "team to watch" including the current GB no.7 beats me.

I actually spent time this weekend watching the Six Nations and enjoying it. Strange sport.
Not sure how Offiah came up with Sculthorpe as one of the names to watch. Why watch Sculthorpe when there's a game going on on the pitch?
Why did Leeds and Hull start a week before everybody else?
EJH: Leeds are off to play Melbourne for the World Club Challenge in a few weeks time, so they moved the Leeds-Hull KR game up to make space in the fixture list.
Martin: You are trolling, aren't you?
Who me, trolling? It's all rugby, isn't it?
Though it does seem a bit silly to start club competition at the same time as a major international competition...
It's almost a tradition that the RFL fixtures committee invariably schedules big matches so they clash with huge, media-devouring events.
This sounds jolly...
Heh. One of the offenders (Briggs) used to play for Keighley.
I don't suppose you've got the faintest idea when Catalans are playing in Girona this year?
They don't seem to have a league fixture there: link.
Oh, splendid.
There's a nice headline on the BBC at the moment:
I am not a psycho - Morley.
