From your interview: If the blog was a band, I hope it would make the girls dance as well as make the boys stroke their chins over the lyrics.
Um, wow. I guess that means I wasn't supposed to be paying such attention to your lyrics.
Seriously, what the heck? It's an otherwise rather informative and engaging interview; why would you say such a dismissive and insulting thing?
(If this is a very common British phrase that is not perceived to be sexist and is just falling oddly on my American ears, I apologize for misunderstanding.)
